A Bad Thing that Turned Out to be a Good Thing

The best thing that happened to me yesterday was dropping my phone in the toilet.  Not because I had a terrible day but because it forced me to finally get a new phone. I had been due for an upgrade for a long time but just couldn't take the time to drive to the Verizon store and buy one. Suddenly, I was forced to because I am totally dependent on my phone for my business. So, I jumped in my car and headed to the store.

While I was there, the helpful salesperson mentioned that they were discounting iPads for a short time. Really? I have been wanting one for a long time. I have looked at them in stores in LA, in Boston, in Charleston and in Myrtle Beach.  But today, the price was right and I was ready to finally pull the trigger because I have a trip coming up and can't be disconnected while I am away. I am so happy I finally bought it. I can write my blog on it wherever I am and it takes amazing photos. In a week or two, I will wonder how I managed without it. I am having so much phone taking photos around the house with it:

I can't wait to photograph not only projects, but also the beauty all around me. Like the beauty of a dying flower, or a still life or a small dog.
