Maybe it is the vivid colors of the flowers blooming in the spring or perhaps the tropical colors of South Beach are still top of mind. Or maybe I am itching for something new and fresh after a season of grays and neutrals. Whatever the reason, I am drawn to color like a month to a flame these days. One of my favorite go to sources for a jolt of fun and happy is China Seas. They make the most gorgeous, saturated color fabrics and wallpapers in fun, happy prints that are perfect for a resort or beach community like mine. They are also great if you like anything preppy or have a daughter's bedroom to do up. Feast your eyes on these gorgeous happy rooms:
Tangerine and white- what could be perkier? I would love to wake up in this room- I could go from zero to sixty in a nano second!
Perfect for a beach house- I love the white ship lap walls, a white slipcovered sectional with pops of turquoise and lime green. This room says "vacation", doesn't it?
Don't you love the combination of lime green with navy and grosgrain trim? So preppy and crisp!
Pale, pale blue walls with lots of white and dollops of blue and coral make this living room sing.
Deep cobalt walls, white sailfish swimming on the walls and a textured concrete floor turn a rather featureless room architecturally into something enchanting. I often turn to color to create interest when faced with a boring space
I am in love with this wallpaper from China Seas called Nitik II. I love the blue and white but it comes in many other gorgeous colors:
Beautiful blue, white and yellow- love the window seat in this breakfast room.
I love love love all of the patterns going on in this room in addition to the color. The matchstick blinds, jute rug and dark woods keep it from veering off into candy land.
This bedroom by Amanda Lindroth is fantastic! First of all, I am crazy about the Medallion wallpaper- it reminds me of a Provençal print only larger. And I love the way she has mixed not only many prints but also so many different blues. I also love the straw baskets and the headboards along great with the charmingly matted and framed colorful maps.
This room has so many of my "favorites"- the white Darlana lanterns, a white Saarinen table, white upholstered club chairs customized with tape trim, a starburst mirror, a ceramic gourd lamp, and blue and white! The only thing I would change is the rug. I would throw a hide there instead.
So, if anyone has a beach house or condo in need of some sprucing up for the summer, or a child's bedroom to redo, or even a sunroom or half bath that would benefit from a jolt of color, call me. I am ready to go!
