Normally, I have no trouble getting up in the morning. Rarely do I need an alarm to roust me as I seem to have an internal alarm clock that goes off by 6am. But not this morning. I struggled to move out of that dream state where your limbs feel like they are in a tank full of marshmallows. Finally at 7:30, I was able to drag myself out of bed. Now, fueled by two cups of Breakfast Blend medium roast with unsweetened almond milk, I am ready to start my day. Thank God for coffee!
This week, I hope to be installing a new backsplash (actually not me, my tile guy!), a new rug and slipcover for a client, as well as adding some new accessories. One of the things that I have been searching for is the perfect coffee table. It has to be stylish yet functional and durable because they have young children and this is the main living area of the home. It will be in front of a large sectional so I am looking for something square or round and not upholstered.
Here are the basics of the room:
There are so many options for coffee tables and yet, when you know you need a square or a round piece, the options narrow significantly. Here are some tables that are worth serious consideration:
This table from Restoration Hardware has great lines and comes in both round and oval. I like the rustic finish of the elm wood:
For something with a bit of silver, this table from Made Goods is a knock-out. But I wonder if the faux shagreen top will stand up to the kids?
An indestructible table would be this metal table from RH. It is a tad industrial looking so not my favorite for this room:
This table from Made Goods is a real statement piece. In a silver leaf finish, it is a great size and shape for the room:
From Serena and Lily, this square table is a great size and shape and has a nice coastal feel:
This is my favorite. It has the chic factor with the faux shagreen sides, the shape I want and a mirrored top- perfect for easy clean up!
All for now- hope your Monday is full of beauty!
