Beautiful Hotel Pools

I woke up with a sore throat and stuffy nose and officially have my first cold in a very long time.  I can't remember the last time I was sick.  How do you get sick when you have done nothing strenuous for a week???  I have a feeling I caught it from the gym here.  So much for trying to be healthy!!  With an 11 hour drive looming, I hope to be feeling a lot better tomorrow or I will have to stop somewhere along the way.  But, I am really anxious to get home because so much has been happening at The Abbey and I am dying to see the progress that has been made while I have been away.  The flooring in the chapel went in this week, the Narthex was painted  and the pews are being installed today.  I'm planning to drink lots of vitamin C and sleep as much as possible and will take some kind of day time cold meds tomorrow to keep me speeding north. So today's post will be short and sweet.  And no post tomorrow as I will be hitting the road by 6am.

It has been windy for the past few days so we have been hitting the pool more than the beach.  And I have to admit that I am so spoiled by the beaches at home (Pawleys Island) that the beach here feels too crowded.  The hotel pools here are legendary for being the location for parties and events but during the weekdays, they are fairly low key. Here are a few shots of some of the prettiest:

I will be asleep under my hat probably with my mouth open so I can breathe.  I am counting on Emmy to wake me up before my skin turns pink!
